He helped my husband Joe and I through the sale of an existing home in an extremely challenging market, and the building of what I know will be an amazing new home once construction is complete in a few months.
We began to consider selling our home and buying a new home early in 2008. At the time we were undecided about the approach we would take for a new home, and whether or not it was the right time to sell our existing home. As a priority we knew our #1 priority was getting to a different school district in 18 months but beyond that we had a lot of decisions to make. We talked to and interviewed several agents and brokers, and only through a very sad unrelated event we were connected up with Chad through a co-worker of mine. Chad took the time with me initially on the phone to explain what he did, how he worked, and what kind of clients he worked with. Subsequent to that, he spent a significant amount of time with both Joe and I answering our questions and ensuring we had all of the facts we needed to make decisions regarding the sale of our existing home, as well as what we could expect in buying or potentially building a new home. The housing market had started it's downturn at this point so it was something to consider as we were making decisions. Chad armed us with information and laid everything out in terms we could understand so that we could make informed decisions - without pushing us into decisions we were not comfortable with. He was always accessible and available day and night, weekdays and weekends. He would respond to emails and voice mails sometimes within minutes!
Our house sold quickly (60 days which was good considering the market) and at a price that we felt was very fair. Chad did not push us to lower our price too much - but rather helped us understand what a fair price was, as well as how uncomfortable it might feel, selling lower is good when you can also buy lower! He also continued to remind us we had time on our side - unlike many others who may pressure their clients to go to bargain basement prices just to get a sale.
In searching for a new home, Chad again armed us with facts, had extreme patience with us as we dealt with some difficult issues on a building contract, and continues to be accessible when/if we need him throughout the process. I know that I can always pick up the phone and he will immediately help with whatever is needed."
